NOTES

- The ch 2 at the beginning of each row does not count as a stitch.

- Plus size only instructions are marked in red, and do not deviate from the Misses instructions until Row 44.

- The even numbered rows are on the Right Side (RS) of the pattern, so that the post stitches face out.

PART ONE

Let's get started with the Snow Charming Cape! In part one, you get to gather your materials, including Red Heart Hygge Charm, two pretty buttons, and your favorite US-K, 6.5mm Furls Hook. Then, get started crocheting the first 23 rows - just be sure to read over the Notes as well the Abbreviations and Special Stiches before you start stitching. At the end of this section, we'll be all set up to start adding the branching crystals to our giant cable snowflake!

PART THREE

Believe it or not, it's time to finish up the Snow Charming Cape! Let's add one or two more repeats of those branching crystals to our snowflake - and then finish it off with some great details! Feel free to add your own personal touches now - express yourself with unique buttons, a special edging, or by making the cape even longer if desired (all you have to do is add more repeats in pattern)! Thank you all so much for crocheting along with me this year, and thank you to Furls for having me! Happy Holidays to you all!

Row 34 – 43: Rep Rows 24 – 33.

PLUS SIZE ONLY: Rows 44 – 53: Rep Rows 24 – 33 once more.

Edging: Ch 1, sc in each dc and blo sc in each post st across, ch 2 at the corner, sc evenly across sides of rows, working 2 sc in the side of each row and 1 sc in MC, pm in the sc worked into the MC, continue with 2 sc in the side of each row, ch 2 at corner; join to first sc of edging and break yarn. (450 sts)

Collar: Count out 34 (38) sts on either side from the marked st and pm in each of these stitches.

Row 1: From RS of cape, join to first marked st, ch 2, dc in same st and each st across to last marked st; turn. (69 (77) sts)

Row 2 – 4: Ch 2, dc in each st across; turn. (69 (77) sts)

Border: Ch 1, sc evenly around the entire cape, working (sc, ch 2, sc) in each corner ch-2 sp; join and break yarn.

Add Buttons: Sew to cape as shown with leftover yarn. Choose buttons that will fit between the dc sts of the collar, 1 1/8” diameter or less recommended.

That completes the Snow Charming Cape. We hope you enjoyed this CAL! If you share your capes on Instagram be sure to use hashtags #furlscrochet #CAL #snowcharmingcape and #moogly so that we can find them!
