Posted on May 01, 2018 by Lorene Eppolite | 0 Comments

Welcome to the May 2018 CAL. This month we are making this gorgeous design, the Flora and Fauna Shawl by Jennifer Dickerson of Fiber Flux.

Hi everyone!  I'm Jennifer Dickerson from Fiber Flux and I am absolutely thrilled to be the designer for the May Furls CAL.  May is a beautiful time of year...warm sunshine, birds chirping, and flowers blooming everywhere.  It is also the time of year when we start to see light and airy crochet made with gorgeous lighter weight yarn.

I absolutely adore lacy stitches, so the project we'll be stitching up together, the Flora and Fauna Shawl celebrates springtime in fabulous crochet lace and fun fringe to finish it off.  This is a perfect piece to compliment any outfit, both casual and formal alike!  Stop by and say hello over at the Fiber Flux blog here and if you love video tutorials, over at the Fiber Flux Youtube channel here.

Below you will find everything you need to make this design and have a chance to enter the giveaway to win the hook and yarn needed to make this design. A Note About Comments

Furls Crochet Team

November 9th, 2016

Hey everybody! Shortly into our CALs we realized that our out-of-the-box blog comment system wouldn't let us reply to your comments.

We've since installed Disqus, above, which allows you guys to respond to each other and us to reply to your questions; seems like a no-brainer!

We will continue to display existing comments from the old comment system on all existing blog posts. All future commenting will be done through Disqus. Enjoy!
