ABOUT OUR DESIGNER

Jackie Laing is the designer behind A[mi]dorable Crochet. Jackie lives in northern B.C. Canada with her daughter and furry family members. She has been playing with yarn and her favourite hooks since 2009. SUPPLIES

- 3.50 mm Furls Streamline Metal Crochet Hook

- 6.5mm safety eyes

- Furls Wander Worsted Weight yarn (less than one skein per each color green, brown and red)

- Stuffing, black embroidery thread (for the eyebrows and mouth), a needle, scissors

Assembly
Sew in the tail on your bookworms body and trim it. Use the long tail you left on your bookworms head and sew it onto the body. I use large dressmaking pins to hold the head in place while I sew it to the body. Sew on a mouth and eyebrows. Use thin craft/jewellery making wire to create the glasses. The wire is thin enough to shape the glasses using your hands. Now enjoy your bookworm!

Sew the stem of the apply onto the top of the apple, also sew on the leaf. Embroider a mouth onto your apple.
