**Special note: The ball ornament is worked the same as the Santa Head Ornament. In different colors, with color changes. You will also be placing the eyes two stitches apart instead of three stitches apart.
The pattern below shows the color changes.
Ball
Rnd1: Starting at the top of your ornament with red yarn sc x 6 in a magic ring, or ch x 2 and do 6 sc in the second chain from your hook (6)
Rnd2: Inc x 6 (12)
Rnd3: [Sc , inc] x 6 (18)
Rnd4: Change to green yarn and sc x 18 (18)
Rnd5: [Sc x 2, inc] x 6 (24)
Rnd6: [Sc x 3, inc] x 6 (30)
Rnd7: Change to red yarn and sc x 30 (30)
Rnd8: [Sc x 8, dec] x 3 (27)
Rnd9: You will be placing your safety eyes in this round. Sc x 10, place your first
eye in the last stitch
you just did, sc x 2, place your second eye in the last stitch, sc x 15 (27)
Rnd10: Switch to green yarn and sc x 27 (27)
Rnd11: Sc x 27 (27)
Rnd12: You will start decreasing your ornament closed, so please stuff your ornament firmly as you
are working from this point on. Sc, [sc x 3, dec] x 5, sc (22)
Rnd13: Switch to red yarn and scx 22 (22)
R14: Sc x 22 (22)
Rnd15: Sc, [sc x 2, dec] x 5, sc (17)
Rnd16: Switch to green yarn and sc, dec x 8 (9)

Rnd18: Dec x 2 closed, fasten off (2)
Top of Ornament
Rnd1: Starting at the top of your ornament top with dark yarn sc x 6 in a magic ring, or ch x 2 and do 6
sc in the second chain from your hook (6)
Rnd2: Inc x 6 (12)
Rnd3: Sc in back loops x 12 (12)
Rnd4: [Sc x 2, dec] x 3, fasten off (9)
Assembly
Use pins to hold the top of your ornament in place, add a bit of stuffing and sew it onto your ornament.
Sew on eyebrows and a mouth. Weave in ends and trim them.
