Hi everyone, it's Brenna from Little Raven Fiber Arts, back again and pleased to see you as we step into the warming weeks of May! We had a long winter up here in Wisconsin and it's left me eagerly anticipating sunny summer days. What better symbol of summer than the classic ice cream cone? And then, why not make it GIANT?
Woohoo! In celebration of Mother's Day, we're making these huggable mommy-and-baby ice cream cones! I picked strawberry and vanilla because I'm partial to those flavors, but feel free to represent your own favorites!
To achieve the larger size with less fuss, we'll be holding two strands of worsted weight yarn together and using a size K hook.
SUPPLIES
I used one Red Heart Jumbo skein per color so I could divide them into two yarn cakes for holding the yarn double.
* Two skeins/yarn cakes each of worsted weight yarn in pink, white and tan* Size K Odyssey hook
* Two sets of size 10mm black plastic snap-in eyes
* Stuffing (lots. I mean LOTS of stuffing)
* Tapestry needle
* Black scrap yarn for embroidery details
We will meet you back here next week for Part One of the Ice Scream You Scream ami CAL. In the meantime, enter our giveaway below to win a $50 gift card from Furls Crochet.
