Bring a little extra joy to your spring with the Springtime Bunny! Made with super-soft fuzzy yarn and featuring an irresistibly cute face, this cuddly amigurumi bunny is perfect for spring events, nursery décor, or gifting. Easy to crochet and full of charm, it’s sure to hop right into your heart! 🐰💐

Supplies 

  • 5.5mm Furls Metal Streamline Hook
  • 3.5mm Furls Metal Streamline Hook 
  • 12mm safety eyes
  • 8mm oval safety nose
  • Lion Brand Feels Like Bliss Yarn shade Blush 2 skeins
  • Needle 
  • Black thread
  • Scissors 
  • Stuffing
  • Random scrap yarn for the egg in your choosing of color.

Note: For Amigurumi crochet, we recommend only Streamline Metal Hooks. They are PERFECT for amigurumi and other fine projects that require tight tension!

Rd1: starting at the top of your bunny's head 6sc in magic ring, or ch 2 then 6sc in second ch from hook (6)

Rd2: inc x 6 (12)

Rd3: [sc, inc] 6 times (18)

Rd4: [2sc, inc] 6 times (24)

Rd5: 24sc around (24)

Rd6: [3sc, inc] 6 times (30)

Rd7: [4sc, inc] 6 times (36)

Rd8-9: 36sc around (36)

Rd10: you will be placing the safety eyes in this Round, 15sc, place your first safety eye in the last stitch you just did, 5sc, place your second safety eye, 16sc (36)

Rd11: 36sc around (36)

Rd12: you will be placing the safety nose in this round 18sc, place your safety nose I'm the last stitch you did, 18sc (36)

Rd13: [4sc, dec] 6 times (30)

Rd14-15: 30sc around (30)

Rd16: [4sc, dec] 5 times (25)

Rd17: sc, 14dec (15)

Rd18: sc, 7dec (8)

Rd29: 4dec (4)

Rd30: dec closed x 2, fasten off (2)

Rd1: starting at the tip of your bunny's ear 6sc in magic ring, or ch 2 then 6sc in second ch from hook (6)

Foot/First Leg

Row3: do not turn, sc down wrong side of work x 8 (8)

Rd5: now you will beworking in the round, sc x 16 around the entire piece (16)

Rd4-6: 16sc around (16)

Rd7: 5sc, 5dec, sc (11)

Rd8-15: 11sc around (11)

Rd16: sc x 2, [2sc, inc] 3 times (14)

Rd17-19:14sc  around, for the first leg fasten off. The second leg do not fasten off. 


Foot/Second Leg 

Row1-Rd19: same as first leg, do not fasten off.

Rd20: hold both legs together,  you will now sc x 31 around both legs. Make sure your bunny's feet are pointed forward before starting this round (31)

Rd1: starting at the top of your egg 6sc in magic ring, or ch 2 then 6sc in second ch from hook (6)

Rd4: Switch color [sc, inc] 6 times (18)

Rd5: 18sc around (18)

Rd6: [2sc, inc] 6 times (24)

Assembly 

Stuff the body firmly then sew it on your head. I use dress making pins to pin the ears and arms in place, then sew them on. Sew on eyebrows, and a little mouth line. Weave in all ends and trim them. Enjoy your spring Time Bunny!
