For the Meridian Top I used
Furls Wander Acrylic Yarn in Dragonfruit. It’s a medium worsted yarn that has a beautiful shine and wonderful color choices.

  1. Tank is made from 2 pieces: Front and Back.
  2. Front and Back are worked back and forth in a pattern worked over 4 rows.
  3. Pattern is written for smallest size with changes for larger sizes in parentheses. When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. To follow pattern more easily, circle all numbers pertaining to your size before beginning.

Row 1 (WS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, *ch 5, sk 3 ch, sc in next 3 ch*, rep * to * across ending last rep with ch 5, sk 3 ch, sc in last 2 ch.

Rep Rows 2-5 for 10 (10, 10, 10, 11) (11, 11, 12, 12) more times for a total of 45, (45, 45, 45, 49) (49, 49, 53, 53) rows. Turn.

Shape First & Second Front Side 
Place a marker at center of last row worked for center front neck. The center will be the center sc st of a sequence of sc 3. You will have an even number of key hole clusters 5 (6, 6, 7, 8) (8, 9, 10, 10) in previous row on each side of stitch marker.

First Front Side
Rep Rows 2-5 for a total of 4 (4, 4, 4, 5) (5, 5, 5, 5) times using stitch marker as last st worked. You will have worked a total of 16 (16, 16, 16, 20) (20, 20, 20, 20) rows. 
Rep Rows 2-4 one time.
Fasten off, leaving a long yarn tail for seaming shoulders.

Second Front Side
Attached yarn in same st as stitch marker and last st worked on First Front Side.
Rep Rows 2-5 for a total of 4 (4, 4, 4, 5) (5, 5, 5, 5) times using stitch marker as last st worked. You will have worked a total of 16 (16, 16, 16, 20) (20, 20, 20, 20) rows. 
Rep Rows 2-4 one time.
Fasten off, leaving a long yarn tail for seaming shoulders.

BACK
Work same as Front to Shaping First & Second Side, rep Rows 2-5 for a total of 14 (14, 14, 14, 14) (14, 14, 15, 15) times. You will have worked a total of 61 (61, 61, 61, 61) (61, 61, 65, 65) rows. 

Shape First & Second Back Side 
Place a marker at center of last row worked for center front neck. The center will be the center sc st of a sequence of sc 3. You will have an even number of key hole clusters 5 (6, 6, 7, 8) (8, 9, 10, 10) in previous row on each side of stitch marker. 

First Back Side
Rep Rows 2-5 for a total of 2 (2, 2, 2, 3) (3, 3, 3, 3) times using stitch marker as last st worked. You will have worked a total of 8 (8, 8, 8, 12) (12, 12, 12, 12) rows. 
Rep Rows 2-4 one time.
Fasten off.

Second Front Side
Attached yarn in same st as stitch marker and last st worked on First Front Side.
Rep Rows 2-5 for a total of 2 (2, 2, 2, 3) (3, 3, 3, 3) times using stitch marker as last st worked. You will have worked a total of 8 (8, 8, 8, 12) (12, 12, 12, 12) rows. 
Rep Rows 2-4 one time.
Fasten off.

Wow! Now you have a Front and Back and it’s time to seam, add the sleeve cuffs, and make an i-cord. It may seem like a lot but you’ve come so far and the finishing touches are what bring a project together.

With RS facing each other, join shoulders by matching sts. Sew shoulders with a mattress stitch or your choice of stitch.

Join sides in same way, leaving 6.5 (7, 7.5, 8, 8.5) (9, 9.5, 10, 10.5) in. (16.5 (18, 19, 20, 22) (23, 24, 25.5, 27) cm) open for arm holes and 3.5 (3.5, 3.5, 3.5, 4) (4, 4, 4, 4) in. (9 (9, 9, 9, 10) (10, 10, 10, 10) cm) open from bottom of Back at lower edges for side slits. 

Sleeve Cuff
Note: Sleeve Cuffs are worked in rnds without turning at the beg of rnds.
From RS, join with a sl st in underarm of either armhole.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, work 42 (48, 48, 54, 54) (60, 60, 66, 66) sc evenly around armhole opening; join with sl st in first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 2) dc in first st, *sk 2 sts, 5dc in same st, sk 2 sts, (dc, ch 2, dc) in same st*, rep * to * ending with sk 2 sts, 5dc in same st, sk 2 sts, sl st to ch-4. 
Fasten off. 

Rep Sleeve Cuff on the other armhole.

To make an i-cord, put a slip knot on your hook and ch 2. Sk first ch and insert hook into next ch, insert hook in remain ch, you will have 3 loops on your hook. *Carefully remove 2 loops from hook and pinch them, yarn over and pull through loop on hook, insert hook into next pinched loop, yarn over and pull through that loop, insert hook into last pinched loop, yarn over and pull through*. Rep * to * until you have desired length or 32 (35, 40, 45, 48) (56, 60, 63, 67) in. (81 (89, 107, 114, 122) (142, 152, 160, 170) cm).

Weave in ends.
Insert i-cord through 2 keyholes on back center of top at desired height.
